It’s 100 years since May Gibb’s adorable characters found their way into the hearts and homes of Australians through the book series Snugglepot and Cuddlepie. During September, Narooma Library is proud to be hosting
May Gibbs – Celebrating 100 years – the NSW State Library’s travelling exhibition. Featuring reproductions of some of her most beloved characters, including Snugglepot, Cuddlepie and the gumnut babies, the display explores May Gibb’s early work as a children’s author and illustrator. Also featured in the gallery will be the botanical art of Bill McKenzie.
The opening of the exhibition will be held at Narooma Library on Wednesday 12 September 2018.
The exhibition can be viewed during library opening hours, 10am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
